Im getting crazy while trying to install w2k as guest-os under VMWare 3.2 (also tried 3.1.1). I installed VMWare properly and ran the configuration script, but a w2k-machine created with the wizard does not start install from the original W2K-CD mounted when switched on. The VMWare screen just remains black after the emulated bios switches to boot.

The kernel I actually use is 2.4.18, the VMWare Workstation client 3.2.0-2230 (same error with 3.1.1-1790).
Any help would be appreciated.

I also tried to use Vmware, and gave up.

An email to tech support with a simple
question got me an obnoxious answer...

Too bad it seems that they may something
good.

By the way: I am an experience programmer (Unix, VMS, etc...)
