Being a former dos and windows user for
many years, I always had some sort of virus
protection software on my pc. I know that
linux is in general a lot more secure. But
do I still need some sort of virus protector
anyways? I use Redhat. Thanks in advance.

hi;

Nope, if you don't dualboot or aren't networked with M$s or aren't sharing mail through them. If Linux comes with antivirus, it's for protection of Windows shares and mail. Who knows what 2morrow will bring?

good luck
