I was thinking about upgrading my video card a little...I have a P3 866, 382ram. what are some good video cards (around $150) that work with XP and linux? If I switch my graphics card linux and xp will both automatically recognize it right? Thanks.

Any nvidia card is well supported in both Windows and Linux. Just make sure to go to nvidia.com and download their drivers.

For $150, you would be looking at a GeForce 3 or GeForce 4 MX. Note that a 3 will actually be better than a 4 MX.

In Linux, you will have to reconfigure X. The changes that need to be made are covered in the nvidia driver installation guide on their site.
