Sir, I was playing normal VCD's that is files avseq01.dat etc .. files thru linux 9.2 earlier about one week ago. today when i tried to run the VCD it is not working. what could be the problem Thanks JB

Does the disc work on another machine? Does another VCD work on this machine? What are you using to play it? If you are using mplayer then try xine and see if it still fails. Are you playing the raw mpeg files or are you using a command like: $ mplayer vcd://

Hi Dave again I have tried Xine, Totem Player etc. It worked last week and i was able to see a movie. only today it didnt work. what cud be the problem JB

Have you installed or updated any software? If you start it from an xterm do you get any errors? What isn't working, eg can you hear sound but get no picture?
