This is simply a suggestion to any one who requests help on this (Linux) help forum, and is not intended to offend any one. I have noticed recently that many requests include "Linux" as the OS: entry in the thread header. This is counter productive. I (and others who frequent this forum) use your profile information to improve the quality of our responses. If you do not provide the name of your Linux distribution in your profile, the quality of the help you receive may suffer.
