This is for those looking for a Linux driver for the Belkin USB Wireless adapter.
The Belkin Wireless USB Adapter (F5D6050) uses the Atmel driver (vnetusbr). The driver you want is at http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net. Look at the HOWTO that's also there at http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net/howto. They talk about the Netgear MA101, but it's the same steps, except that you will answer yes to the USB 503A RFMD Driver. I just setup my Toshiba S173 to run Redhat 8.0 with this Belkin USB Wireless.
Notes: You need to load the kernel sources. You cannot use a passphrase, the Atmel driver doesn't support it yet. But it does support a key. However, my access point is the Belkin F5D6230-3 which doesn't let me gen keys, it seems to only support a passphrase arg. Which means you must run unencrypted so your wireless net may be tapped. I did change the default channel and the SSID so that might help a little :)
Summary: Can someone describe in detail how to install and setup USB wireless driver? I am very green when it comes to Linux. I have the Belkin USB Wireless running RedHat 7.1. Can someone take me step by step...
Summary: I have a D-link DSB 650tx USB 10/100 ethernet adapter that I bought to use with Windows ME. Now I have Linux and I want to use the same adapter, but I can't find Linux drivers for it. Does anyone know...
