When in windows i connect to the network using a usb to ethernet adapter. How can i get mandrake to use the same. How can i install the drivers if there for windows.

You can't, you'll need a Linux driver.

Just something to note:
Usually the USB serial ports would be /dev/ttyUSB0 and /dev/ttyUSB1.
