I am trying to setup USB printing to a Lexmark X63. I have not been able to find any drivers for this printer for Linux, but I should be able to set it to RAW. The problem is that the information s not leaveing the computer. Is there anyone out there that can help. I have done searches, but this has not been documented well from what I have found. Most of the info out there was what was able t determine on my own. Have CUPS installed and running.

RH 9 should have the drivers for it - it dected my Lexmark Z42 installed just fine. I'm not exactly sure the correct way to do it so I'll tell ya my way - install all the cups drives, then use the nice "add a printer wizard" that Redhat includes on the taskbar in gnome. If the driver still isn't there - add the closest model you can find - I would think that the majority of Lexmark printers would work thte same and you should be able to use one of them.
- just something to try while you wait for some one who knows what their doing to post...
