hi all. i tried to create for my kningston usb drive in my redhat 9 .but after doing all that i think is required i get the the message cant usbstick in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab please help /dev/sda1 /mnt/usbstick vfat user, noauto,umask=0 0 0 this is what i had in my fstab

for root user: /dev/sdn____mount-directory____usbdevfs____noauto,__0 0 ____=space n=a,b,c,.. for see inf usb: cat /proc/scsi/scsi

What happens if you do the following? $ mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/usbstick

Try putting the last 2 zeros togather like this /dev/sda1 /mnt/usbstick vfat user,noauto,unmask=0 00 It works on my RH 9 and fedora boxes just fine. You still have to mount them they wont auto mount
