Comment:

I have a Sony Vaio PCG-FX602 laptop which was provided with Windows XP Home Ed and which I updated with SP2. The computer had two partitions on one HD, XP is on the first partition

On this I installed Ubuntu 6.06 - Dapper Drake, which settled on the the second partition, where it made two new partitions Linux Ext 3 and Linux Swap according to Partition Magic 8.0 (PM). Now I boot with the Linux GRUB.

I want to upgrade to Ubuntu 7.04 - Feisty Fawn. I have burned the downloaded ISO file to a CD. How do I go about installing it ?

Do I just click install and Feisty Fawn will take the place of Dapper Drake or do I need to delete the partitions Linux Ext 3 and Linux Swap with PM and then install ?

Thanks for an advice.

Just click install ..... no need modifying the existing Linux partitions.
