Upgrading from fedora core1

HI and Happy easter for all I upgrade from fedora 1 to fedora core 2 test 2(i downloaded fedora 2 and burned them to 4 cds and upgrade by the cds) now I have no sound (the same was with fedora 1)when i go to sound detection wizzard it tells me "the following audio device was detected Vendor:C-Media Electonics Inc Model:CM8638 Module:snd-cmipci" and when i clicked on the botton "play test sound" i do not hear any thing and the sound detection wizzard tell me "Automatic detection of the sound card did not work. Audio will not be available on the system. Please click OK to continue." and I got that on prompt ]# ls -l /dev/dsp lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9 Apr 11 00:40 /dev/dsp -> /dev/dsp0 and when I go to the Sound-Info Center I got these informations Sound driver:3.8.1a-980706(Alsa v1.0.4c2 Emulation code) Kernel:Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.5.1... Config options:0 Installed drivers: Type 10:Alsa emulation Card config: -no soundcards- Audio devices : NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG synth devices : NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG In my xp the sound is ok Please help me

2.6.x uses ALSA for the sound subsystem, which is OSS (2.4.x) compatible. Google for information on installing ALSA and using the alsamixer program to unmute the sound channels.
