I am currently running RH 7.0 and would like to upgrade to RH 7.3. I have tried two methods 1. Created CDs and tried to upgrade. System will not recognize the CD (This is how I installed 7.0). 2. Created install boot floppy and then tried to install from the CD and then ISO files on the hard drive but it does not recognize either drive. Any ideas? Could it be a hardware compatability issue between 7.0 and 7.3? Any help would be great! Thanks Duncan

Gonna need a little more info. to help you, like what your box has in it. If anything to help you now, it could be a compatibility issue with the upgrade, as you suspect. You might try upgrading to 7.1 or 7.2 first, then upgrade to 7.3.
As for myself, when I downloaded and made the CDs from redhat's own website to make 7.3, it asked for the third install disc. I gave it to it and it kept telling me that it wasn't the correct disc and installation would stop. I downloaded the disc image from a different server, burned it, and 7.3 installed just fine. So, it may be a media thing.

I have burned 3 different CDs. I have not tried the older ones but the lastest works in other computers. I will download 7.1 tonight and see if that works. Thanks
