i got a hp with windows me and mandrake 7.1, i had to make a recovery on my pc and i was hoping that it would format the linux boot too, but now i cant acess the mandrake, the pc starts, go to the grub, i select linux and its says that ocurred a error in the loading, now i can just use windows. i like to clean my harddrive, and windons me its a pain in the ass because it doesn't have dos, the only thing a can do on my pc is acess grub"comand" but i don't know nothing about........

get a win98 startup disk. then boot to it. it will allow you access to dos. also, if you boot to linux and do the setup again, you can alter the linux partitions that you aren't going to be able to do using fdisk.

Ricardo,It sounds to me you should go back to WIN.95.,WIN.ME and Linux is just a bit much for you right now.You have to start from the bottom up, not top down. Your FRIEND KING KONG
