uninstalled Linux but can't boot up with Windows

I can't boot windows after uninstalling Linux. The Linux boot: prompt comes up still and I when I type in dos it has dos errors.

What is going on?

Boot up with the windows boot disk cd to c:/
and type "fdisk/mbr" without quotes that shoud repair the master boot record

Boot up with the Windows Boot Disk and type in "fdisk_/mbr" (without the quotation marks and the _ as a space.)
