First type lilo -u
to uninstall lilo if you have it
Then type cfdisk and delete the linux partition.
Reboot.
Linux is gone and the partition it had should be formatted to become fat32

If you want win98 on the entire disk and not
just two win partitions you have to start over
(Delete the win98 part too.Rerun fdisk from a boot floppy and so on..This is another story)

You can also install Partition Magic. It will let you delete partitions, resize, move, copy, and much more. But Linux is growing and will be much more usefull than windows in the future. Get Part. Magic and just size down your Linux partitions & use the extra space for Windows.

Hi how you doing?

Well my technique involves having a system boot disk with FDISK.exe on it.

Boot off this disk.
At the command prompt run the FDISK utility and delete the non DOS partition. exit and reboot, at the command prompt again type
FDISK /mbr this will delete the master boot record, if you reboot it will boot into the other operating system you have already installed.

Take care with this /mbr option some disk dont like the option and it can be very devistating this is way you dont find it documented often.

by for now.

Ali.
