Linux is installed on its own set of partitions. You can remove them using the Windows XP Install CD, but then the only way to use the disk space will be to create one or more new Windows partitions where the Linux partitions used to reside. Finally, (again) use the WIndows XP Install disk (I think it is called0 recovery console to run fixmbr which will write the Windows boot loader to the MBR.

Alternatively, if you want to re-size your Windows partition (making it the same size it was before installing Linux), you will want to get a Live CD with Gparted. I use (and recommend) the System Rescue CD. It boots to a Live Linux system, has Gparted (an Open Source Partition Manager similar in use to Partition Magic), and many other essential utilities for system management / recovery (see the WEB site for details). Using Gparted, you can delete your Linux partitions, then resize your Windows partition (Gparted supports non-destructive partition re-size, copy, move functionality). You will still have to use the Windows XP Install disk (recovery console) to run the Windows fixmbr utility. Note: You should make a backup of any files in the Windows partition (or the partition itself) before resizing in the event something should go wrong (power failure, etc.). System rescue CD includes the partimage utility (a partition imaging tool) which you can use to create an image of your Windows partition for this purpose.
