Comment:

I recently installed the nforce drivers for redhat linux 9.0. After installing, I kept getting error messages that nvnet, the ethernet adapter, was not present. after doing some research, I found that I had to use the source drivers to compile the rpm myself. I did this, but when I went to install the newly compiled drivers, it gave me a message that newer drivers were already installed. How do I go about uninstalling the old drivers??

If you installed via rpm:
# rpm -ev package_name

If you install from source, you should be able to cd to the source directory (where you originally typed "make install" and type:
# make uninstall
