I was trying to install Debian Etch from xp according to what they said here http://howtoforge.com/debian_window...

During the process "Afterwards, the Debian-Installer Loader setup is completed, and you can click on Close:" I find an error prompt saying "unable to run cpio.bat". Next thing I know everything disappears and I am writing this message.

Any feedback?

Thanks!

Forget cpio.bat for now.

I have no idea why so called experts are suggesting to newbie's to try dual boot.

I guess we kind of need to know how far along on the install you got.

When you do a power off cold boot to you see the choice for linux?

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
