I am installing redhat 7.1 and after it installs all of disc 1, it asks for disc 2. I put disc 2 in and click ok, then it says unable to mount cdrom. Does it everytime, and now im sitting here with a dead system.

Try dropping to another consile during install, find out where setup mounts its CDs with a df command (might not be under /mnt) and then when it askes for the second CD, mount it manually first before hitting OK.

Another problem could be that you have a bad CD2!!! If that's the case, it will continue asking you for CD2...

It does keep asking for the cd, then says unable to mount. Is there an install that doesnt require a disc2?

Nope. Some of the programs are on disc 2 so you are out of luck there. However, another way to install RedHat Linux is using the ftp option!!! By the way, I didn't have any problem installing RedHat Linux 7.1 when it first came out... I assume you know that the latest version is 7.3.
