I have Dolch machine with Red Hat 8.0. This computer has a CD writer. On the desktop, I click on CD/DVD icon, it says " Unable to mount. No medium found"
Does not Red Hat 8.0 support for this CD writer ? How do I get this driver?

It should be supported as a CD-ROM at least. Are you using a music CD, perhaps? Music CDs should be played with a CD player program. Don't try to mount them.

In redhat 8.0 in the graphics mode there is no need to mount the cd writter. It automatically done all the process when u are inserted a cd in the writter.if ou are going through the CLI mode you have to mount manually by using this command
