Hi folks, I could not install the Linux OS p92. After I booted from the CD-ROM, one of the popped-up screen says to specify the root & swap device, but I failed to specify those device. To specify the root & swap device I was unable to input the / sign right behind the root & swap device. Can anybody let me know the possible solution? Thanks Masud

Linux OS p92???? Have never heard about it before. Anyways: Linux need at least 2 partitions: the root (/) partition and /swap partition. The / is where you install the OS and store file, the /swap partition is just like temp file in windows (only temporary). There are some file system types for root partition: ext2, ext3, raiserfs, xfs, jfs, etc. Mostly ext3 would be the default one (used by Fedora, RedHat, Debian). Other distributors use other file system as default one (for example, suse uses raiserfs as default file system)

Actually it's like the pagefile.sys in Windows which is used for Virtual RAM.
