does anyone know how to make syslog ubuntu package work on lisenting 0.0.0.0 instead of 127.0.0.1
I followed the syslog setup guide and change /etc/init.d/sysklogd file
SYSLOGD="-r"

restart service and check again "netstat -a |grep syslog

shows still lisenting locahost.....

any idea?

Not sure 0.0.0.0 would ever work.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Anyone knows the syslog.conf, one of config show like this:

lpr.* -/var/log/lpr.log

notice that there is "-" before /var/log, what does it mean?
