hi, im still fresh to linux so be gentil. im useing ubuntu and, when i try to install extra programs through my terminal i get the following error message:
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.

I believe in Ubuntu if you run a command that requires root you need to use "sudo" in front of the command and then it will ask for your password. Use the same pass that you use to login with. It should execute.

You have to su to Root by running the su command and then typing the root password. Or you can use sudo in front of the command you need superuser rights for. Your command would be:
