HI,

I am new to Linux and I have just installed ubuntu 5.01 on my system along side WIN XP pro (dual booting) and want to be able to share the internet to my other machine which is running win xp pro.

I can acces the internet when both machines are running win xp and also when i run ubuntu, but cannot access the internet on the other win xp comp (whilst running ubuntu).

I want to be able to acces the internet from my win xp machine when i am running ubuntu on the other.

I am using 2 network cards in the machine running ubuntu (eth1 - connect to internet and eth1 - connect to other comp) and 1 network card in the other win xp machine.

any suggestions?

Thanks

# modprobe iptable_nat
# iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE
# echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward

That may get you started....check out some of the HOWTOs here:
