Hi all,

Hi All,

I am new to Ubuntu so please bear with me. I am trying to install a new NIC on my server running

2.6.24-19-server #1 SMP Sat Jul 12 00:40:01 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

This server does not auto dectect the new NIC.

This server already have 2 NICs installed and working fine. The NIC I am installing is the exact same model as the ones that work. PLease help me install the 3rd NIC. How do I load the modules to get the system to detect the third NIC?

Thanks.

Start with ifconfig

Might be able to use ifconfig commands to just up it.

use lspci to see if it is seen on the board.

See also search results add network adapter linux or maybe use ubuntu or debian.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
