I need to install RH9 on this laptop that my dad just gave to me because it's a useless piece of crap. It currently has Windows 98 on it, and I want to install RH9. I have all of the images put onto the three disks, but the BIOS in the laptop cannot boot from CD, it can only boot from floppy and harddrive. Does anyone know a boot disk I can get (floppy, please).

before going to the trouble, you may want to check the memory needed to run rh9.0.

if the laptop is that bad you may need an older version.

48 mb of ram, ???

OK, enter on your win98, put the rh9 cd 1 and open a DOS window.

Go to dir dosutils on the cdrom, execute the command rawrite it will tell you the image source file and then put /images/boot.img and finally the a:

simple:
cd dosutils
rawrite
/images/boot.img
