Comment:

I saw screenshots on the Mandrake homepage showing desktops with transparent menus.
Anyone know how to get these to work in Mandrake 9.0?

You could use the built in ones in KDE or get
mosfets liquid theme. I prefer mosfets theme.

I would recomend going to plf.zarb.org. They
tend to have the most updated packages for
Mandrake. That's where I became lazy and
just installed the RPM's they had for liquid
instead of taking the time to compile it myself.

What can I say...time is sometimes precious!

I played with this last night.

I went to KDE control panel and found it under "styles". It on one of the tabs that comes up when you select your style.
There's also a slider bar where you can adjust the level of transparency.

Sorry, I don't have it in front of me so that's all the info I can give you.
Anyway, be aware that not all styles support the transparent menu.

Good luck
