text mp3 player???

Hi

I am trying to learn command line.

I can cd to the dir. And ls the mp3s.
But xmms wont run without startx??

Is there such a thing as a text mp3 player??

If so can I get it in an rpm?

Using md7.2

The standard Non-X mp3 player has been mpg123. It uses a standard, console command-line interface, and outputs sound through /dev/dsp. Should come on most any Linux distribution today.

Calvin is almost right, it's called mpg321 instead of mpg123
