what is a simple command to back up my home directory to a tape drive?

/sbin/dump 0uBf xxxx /dev/tape /home/homedir

where xxxx is the tape capacity in MB
and "homedir" is the name of the home directory you're backing up.

Bear in mind /dev/tape may not work for you. I was using an Onstream drive and the device name was /dev/osst0.
