Comment:

I recently installed Suse 9.1 on my system.
After the install I used it for a while whithout any problems.

The next day I shut it down and now when I turn it on Grub gives me the option of booting Linux or Windows as usual but when I boot linux it goes to a blank screen. Nothing else happens.

I'm very new to Linux so I would appreciate any help.

I have two hard drives. The master hard drive is 120Gig and houses Windows XP Pro. My second hard drive is 8.4Gig and houses Suse.

Thanks in advance for your time.

If you leave it at the blank screen does it still look as though it is booting....ie is the hard drive still active? You could try a different video mode by passing "vga=ask" at your boot prompt.
