The ftp Install [22 MB] is an image which
when burned to CD, and booted should permit
you to download and install Suse via the ftp
servers. I have not used Suse as yet, but
that is what I see at http://linuxiso.org

Go to ftp://ftp.suse.com and look at the README in the FTP tree. It tells you the exact steps you need to install SuSE via FTP. Once install, it is the "actual thing" of SuSE 9.0 Personal Edition.
