I'm having a problem installing SuSe linux for the first time. I have two hard drives, one with Windows and one 40 gig im trying to install linux on. I reboot the computer with the suse disk in the drive and install the first part off disk 1 perfectly. I then restart as the installation directs but when i reboot from the cd, go into Run from Hard drive and it goes back into the installation, I can't open up my CD-Rom drive when it asks for disk 2. I've tried 3 different CD-Rom drives and they all refuse to eject the first disk. I tried to use a safety pin to eject it manually but the drive freaks out and the disk spins out of control and i think i ruined a drive already by doing this. When i put the 2nd disk in this way it still doesnt read it. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

You might need to unmount the drive first. See where it is mounted with "df" and then unmount it with something like "umount /mnt/cdrom". You could even try and see if you have the "eject" command installed.
I haven't done a suse install for years, are you not supposed to boot the second time round without the CD in the drive?
