Hi guys
I just started installing suse 9.3 professional but just at the beginning of the setup it says that you are about to install a 32 bit software on a 64 bit computer with "Cool computer, but" as the heading of this message.Isnt suse 9.3 pro a 64 bit operating system...Thnx for any help
AMD Athlon 64 bit 2800+ ASUS K8NE-Deluxe
Symtronics RAM-512
DDR-SDRAM
XFX 6600 GT 128 MB Graphic Card

Suse 9.3 pro comes in a variety of versions-
x-86., x86_64 ( 64 bit version), ppc etc.If you bought your version of 9.3, it should have included a 64 bit version of the OS. Looks like you just tried to install the 32 bit version of the OS

I have a question abiout suse 9.3 pro,
i install it but i cant get the netwrok to work. the following instruction is wat i dont understand.) Compile the driver source files and it will generate rhinefet.o, and
copy it to correct driver installation path (The installation directory
is different in different kernel versions. In 2.4.x kernel, the path is
/lib/modules/KERNEL_VERSION/kernel/drivers/net/, and in 2.2.x kernel,
the path is /lib/modules/KERNEL_VERSION/net/, the KERNEL_VERSION (see
above) means the kernel version of your Linux distribution. If you don't
know your kernel version , please run 'uname -r' command in command
line. The kernel version will look like '2.2.16', '2.4.2-2smp' etc.) :
make installWHAT IS COMPILE? once i get that i know the rest, but wat is COMPILE?
