Comment:

I was wondering if anyone out there had some suggestions for a PCI IDE Raid card. This card only needs the ability to do 0, 1, and 0+1. I see the cheapest out there normally have the silicon image chip sets. it is my understanding and expirence that this is no longer supported in the 2.6 kernel, and was barely supported in the 2.4. Moral of the story:

If anyone has a suggestion for a lower to mid quality card that is supported with the 2.6 kerenl, or just a compliant chip set. thanks and take care everyone.

Promise ultra100TX2 or later is supported in Linux.

I am not sure how RAID is supported (may be in software). You will need to check this.
