su command in tcsh

i need to change the path variable in the tcsh shell but didn't know that the "su" command doesn't work in tcsh. i need the root authority to change the path, so is there a command like "su" in tcsh as well? thx.

Hi,

There is not any error output? whic disto are you using?

the su program is in the /sbin directory nearly in all linux distros. if /sbin is not in your path variable, you can execute su program like this:

]$ /sbin/su

or try,

]$ /usr/bin/sudo su
