And I thought I was doing so well...;o)

OK, so I just installed Rehdat 7.2. It knows there is a modem there but crashes when it tries to use it. I downloaded the recommended linux driver as a .tgz file and expanded it in a directory. The readme file is pretty hopeless...it says you should type;

make clean
make all
install all

I have done very simple make files to compile C++ executables but this is beyond me.

ANyway, it won't compile...I have a feeling it is due to some problem with accessing the kernel header files. The readme says it needs access to the header files and that they should be copied from the CD, but I don't know what they are or where to put them! Help!

In case it helps, my modem is from Ambient (now owned by Intel) and the chipset is the HaM MD5628D-L-B. The driver is Intel-v92ham.

Any advice would be very welcome!
