strange sound when moving mouse

I have a strange sound coming out from my machine while moving the mouse. It is very similar to repeated short PC-speaker sounds, rather undefined (I think it's somewhat like the sound you get when the keyboard is blocked).

I also ear this quiet sound in my Linux when I install Red Hat 6.0 with a ESS sound card. I use the ESS sound controler of Red Hat. I recently install Mandrake 7.0 with a Sound Blaster compatible controler, because I cant configure the ESS sound controler and the sound desapear.

I tried with Red Hat 6.2, Red Hat 7.0 and Suse 7.0 and I had the same effect. I have Sound Blaster 128. Maybe I should try with Mandrake...

i had that problem too until i found out that it's bcos my mouse cable is touching my headphone cable(c/w mic). It seems like the mouse signals is pickup by the cable.
This happen if u enabled ur mic and had the mic volume high. I even tried touching the cable with the monitor screen and i can hear buzzing sound...

Easy.... You got to mute the other volume settings. Especially the LINE and MIC and CDROM audio volume settings. Only keep the wave volume up. Unmute the others when you want to use them.
