Hi...

I'm having an odd problem with networking two computers on my home LAN using mandriva 2008. One machine has two ethernet cards, PC#1 hooked up directly to a cable modem and one to a network hub. PC #2 is just connected to the hub. Oddly, when I have both machines booted into linux, PC#2 is able to access and share the internet connection on PC#1, but I am unable to browse the network on either machine, nor will they detect/share printers. What am I missing?

Thanks!

Two issues. One is how the server allows you to use the connection. Second is the browser. The first could stop but we'd need to know what you mean by browse the network. Samba or nsf or what?

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.
