startx question

ok... i have the same problem.. accept it starts TWM (even worse) =D ... and i've tried typing switchdesk GNOME ... but it doens't work.. it still starts TWM when i 'startx' ... can i change this manually? then how.. or is there another way i can do it ??? thanks =D
