i downlaoded and extracted samba into a folder but i don't know what to do next, I changed the workgroup to my domain, and security to share but what do i do next, what do i need to do to browse the linux station from an nt workstation? what path would i use to map it?
After installing make a necessary changes in smb.conf that can be located in /etc/samba/smb.conf in newer versions and start smb service by /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb start. If your workstation can ping linux server than you can access resources shared.
