Is it the machine, where squid is installed to?

Have you checked, whether the linux machine really uses proxy to browse the internet?

Have you checked the squid log file for errors, when trying to access the internet with a windows machine?

There is sure an option to configure proxy settings in Firefox.
Goto Edit / Options / Advanced / Settings.
Here you can configure the proxy settings for the Firefox.

What does the Squid log file show, when you try to access the internet from a client pc?
Something like access denied?

So you have to check the settings in the squid.conf file.
Check especially these setting:
# Example rule allowing access from your local networks. Adapt
# to list your (internal) IP networks from where browsing should
# be allowed
#acl our_networks src 192.168.1.0/24 192.168.2.0/24
#http_access allow our_networks

Delete the "#" sign from the last two lines.
You may have to change the ip address range to match your needs.

Dear all,

Thanks for your replies.
Actually my problem here was with my Firewall in the LINUX installed box.
I added the http port 80 in exception and now my issue fixed.

Thanks and Regards,
hari narayanan.
