Soundcard Problem

i dunno if i have correctly config my soundcard or not, but there's no sound coming out from the speaker.

i su as root and use sndconfig to config...
It correctly identify my soundcard, but I can't hear anything when it's playing the sample sound...I tried it once again manually then.....same problem....
So what should I do then?
my soundcard is Soundblaster PCI 64V....This should be supported by linux...

PLEASE HELP!!!
I'w got my soundcard detected from linux(red hat7.3)but i'w got no drivers instaled on this system. The sound can't "out".
There's a mesage:"/dev/snd-no file"
ps. This file exist on my computer.
My sound card is "Forte Media 801".
Help me please.
