OS: mandrake linux 8.2
CPU/Ram: 700mhz laptop with 128mb

i have recently installed mandrake on my laptop and it apears that the sound is not working. lunix recognised the card in setup and it says that it is working but there is no sound coming out of the machine i need some guideince to get round this problem!!

Using KDE, go to configuration, multi-media, sound. You'll need to turn up the sound level. In my installation the default level was "mute".
