Sound Card is not working

I recently installed luitlinux 0.4 but my sound card is not working. can any body give a suggetion?

By default sound levels are muted/set to zero, try running "alsamixer" and unmute/increase the volumes. To set the levels when correct so you don't have to adjust them every time after booting run "alsactl store" as root.

What sound card do you have? You should be able to tell from the output of "lspci" and see if any sound modules are loaded with "lsmod".
