Hello community. Please help me with the correct Linux syntax to perform the following request as a shell command:

"Starting with the largest, show all subdirectories in [a particular directory] containing more than 10 GB of files only; displayed in MB."

We have a problem here with a drive array that is constantly running out of capacity, and no one in my department is admitting to hogging the space. I have tried a number of permutations of sort and find but I'm just not getting it right.

Thanks for your help.

A gui might be easier.

Normally you use du or df for this.

Might look at help pages like this.

http://www.linfo.org/du.html.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10

Good place to begin, Jefro. Thanks.

Not being a true Penguinhead, the disk use command didn't even occur to me. I'll give it a go.
