Comment:

i am trying to build a RAID system for just learning purpose .. i thought i would start with RAID 0 and later try RAID 1 and 5 ..

i have 2 hdd's of same size ..

how do i setup a simple linux software RAID 0 , with 2 new hdd's .. no Operating system installed so far ..

should i format both HDD's to linux raid autodetect filesystem ?

or 1 hdd with ext3 (only one big root partition) and second hdd to one big type fd (raid autodetect )partition of the same size ?

thanks
