Hello world:

I built a linux box with an Abit NF-M2P motherboard. A while ago I installed Ubuntu 7.04 on it and everything ran great. I'm now trying to install Slackware 11 and neither my audio card or my nic are getting recognized (they're both part of the motherboard). The r8169 module ran fine under Ubuntu but it doesn't here with Slack. Anyone encountered this problem before?

Thanks

If you're running one of the precompiled kernels that Slackware offers it is possible it lacks the module you require. I'd try to compile a new kernel.

I got to ask -

if you installed Ubuntu, and it was running,

WHY are you installing Slackware?
