hello everyone. currently i am a red hat 8 user, but i am looking to try out differnt distributions. i gave gentoo a try and made it all the way to the reboot but my grub file was deffinetly not working to well.
anyways i decided i would like to try slackware 8.1. i heard it is the most Unix like version of Linux (not to sure what that means). i downloaded the iso and burned it, but it seems that i still need a boot disk. i just assumed that the iso was bootable. on the slack page there are a bunch of differnt boot disks. which one would work for me?
cdrw = LG CD-RW CED-8080b
one more question...how well does slackware dual boot with windows. unfortuantly i am not 100% linux, but i am working to get there. thanks and take care.
