exactly how it sounds. Where it says Single user means only one user can use it, like dos or windows 95. Multiuser is like linux, there can be several users beinga ble to logon.
Same thing with single/multi tasking. Single tasking means only one program can be running at a time, aka dos. Multi-tasking is like winodws or linux, you can have several browsers going along with messenger and however number of other programs running in the background.
