Hi There
Well I come from windows and I'm new to Linux but I think it's great and I'm liking it more every day.
Couple of questions:
I've pressed Ctrl Alt & Backspace to have a play around in the shell prompt. Can you tell me the command to get back to the GUI.
Also I've managed to configure my netwoork card. Could you tell me were the default file for the settings (IP etc) is located.

Much Appreciated

I believe ctrl+alt+backspace kills the xserver. instead use ctrl+alt+f1 to f6 for consoles and ctrl+alt+f7 to get back to the desktop.

Have a look at "ifconfig" and the file
/etc/sysconfig/network

Yup that's right, ctrl+alt+backspace kills the xserver... another alternative is to type in "startx" to get back to GUI.

Good luck.
